November 2023 - OPC Optics & Pfeiffer Präzisionsoptik - Joint location

In the course of optimizing operational processes, the production sites in Bad Kreuznach (OPC Optical Precision Components Europe GmbH) and Heuchelheim (PPO Pfeiffer Präzisionsoptik GmbH) were merged at a new location in Biebertal (Hainaer Weg 26 - 35444 Biebertal) near Wetzlar. This strategic decision is the result of careful planning and long-term considerations. The new production facility in Biebertal will be equipped with the state-of-the-art technology to meet our high quality standards and offer even better products and services.

November 2021 - Meyer Optik Görlitz – New manufactory in the heart of Hamburg!

Meyer Optik Görlitz opens new location, including visitable manufactory in the heart of Hamburg. The new lens manufactory of Meyer Optik Görlitz is in the Rothenburgsort district of Hamburg, close to HafenCity district.

January 2021 - OPC Optics & Pfeiffer Präzisionsoptik join forces

OPC Optics, based in Bad Kreuznach, and PPO Pfeiffer Präzisionsoptik GmbH, based in Gießen, are going joint ways since 1st January 2021, thus consolidating the foundations of both locations. The two complementary companies are working together as partner companies and represent a modern, flexible, and powerful competence team of the optical industry in Germany.

December 2018 - Acquisition of Meyer Optik Görlitz

OPC Optics acquires the trademark rights to Meyer Optik Görlitz. As a specialist for aspherical and spherical glass lenses, the acquisition of Meyer Optik Görlitz opens up the consumer market.

November 2018 - New sales location

OPC Optics opens a sales office in Geldern, Germany.

July 2018 - Acquisition of OPC Optics GmbH

In July 2018 OPC Optics GmbH, which was founded two years earlier, is taken over by OPC Europe in the course of a restructuring. OPC Optical Precision Components Europe GmbH continues to operate under the established OPC Optics brand.

April 2018 - Foundation of OPC Optical Precision Components Europe GmbH

OPC Optical Precision Components Europe GmbH will be founded in April 2018 as an independent company, located in Bad Kreuznach.

May 2016 - Foundation of OPC Optics GmbH

OPC Optics GmbH is founded as a start-up company. OPC OPTICS is introduced to the market in June 2016 at the "Optatec" trade fair.
